Life Of A Bearded, Queer Artist
I love french art. particularly the Impressionists/Post-Impressionists
He's not with us anymore, but I was fortunate to have such a friend in my life, to introduce me to all That a Bear can be, to be my first portrait subject, and one of the first people to show enthusiasm in my art in the early phase of my development.
I'm looking for an alternative device to a mouse/trackball, so I can do some drawing in Photoshop, without dealing with the hassles associated with an unwieldy mouse, something like an electronic pen and a pad, which would connect to my PC, via USB cable. I'm sure, something like it exists, I just don't know what it's called.
I can't say that it was the last great party that I attended, but it came to mind right off the bat. It was New Year's Eve 2000/2001. There I was, 32, at the time, visiting my best (now departed) friend Alex, and staying in his typically dimensioned Mid-Town Manhattan apartment, crammed to the hilt with 40-50 Bears. (Well. maybe an exaggeration) It was the last one he would ever throw, being prior to 9/11, and I was fortunate to have attended that one.
I don't imagine I'll start an account with any of these. A few years ago I opened a myspace page, but I rarely use it. I just don't need an extra excuse to stay glued to my PC for an extra hour, a day. A list of the sites, that I have frequently comatose profiles on, include:
LJ
gay.com
Beard Community Bulletin Board
The Society of Bearded Gentlemen
myspace
Bear411
bearwww
bearciti
youtube
not to mention several yahoo/google groups
give me more time and I'll remember some more forgotten accounts
I have drawn the line, however in the shifting sands of shaky resolve, but I am only remotely tempted to do the FB/twitter thing.

That challenge would be, being broke, and thus being unable to travel, most of the time.
.... have or have had anxiety issues with pricking themselves with a lancet?
Have you ever noticed it ever going away completely, once pricking becomes a routine? It's becoming quite routine thing, but the slight anxiety is still there. I've only been testing/medicating myself in the last 2 months, (ever since that episode with the abscess.)) Within a short time, I went from 0 medication to 4 different pills. They've included anti-biotics, blood-sugar, cholesterol etc. It's definitely a new chapter/phase in my life.

Mine, is simply to steep myself in a cold bath for an hour or so.
I've never been a morning person, but this morning is especially bad.
I woke up from an awful dream, and there is this lingering feeling of negative/depressive/angry energy in me this morning. Ever get those kind of dreams, where you done something really stupid such as steal something, but you didn't feel really mentally in control of yourself, when you did it?

I got acquainted with the domestic short-hair cat in my complex, today. Such a sweetie, named 'Lily' according to the information on her collar.
.... that we are now deprived of such an enormous talent, as in Michael Jackson. In the 80s, I thought that anything he did in show-business, was extraordinary. When he was a child in the 60s, he had the magical ability of mimicking the dance moves of the likes of James Brown, Jackie Wilson. Fred Astair, and Gene Kelly, and putting his own 'stamp' of identity on them. I am also aware that this talent partly is due to a rough childhood, and a Father who basically told him and his siblings, "If you want to be in show-business, you're gonna learn MY way!" Is the same thing as becoming aware that what we identify as the gifts and talents of Vincent Van Gogh, partly stems from his mental anguish, as I can attest to the fact, that the nature of my creativity as a painter, is partly due to the loss of my close friend, a few years ago. As an admirer of Mr. Jackson's creativity and gifts, there will never be anyone like him, again. RIP
... First Ed McMahon, then Farrah, then MJ, now Oxyclean pitchman, Billy Mays, at 50.
.... Make a day-trip to San Francisco, this July, I may make it a museum day. I would like to do another LJ "Bear" Rendezvous, though schedules may always conflict.
